In search of the Holy Well at Sancreed

What a perfect morning.  Everything went to clockwork (and I missed the rain).  I got my bus from Relubbus on time.  Got the number 8 bus from Penzance to Sancreed on time and met a lovely lady on the bus who directed me to the well and who I chatted to on the way back on the bus to Penzance.  She was born and bred in Sancreed and was visiting the church in memory of her late husband.

This is so rare.  A signpost pointing the way! So when you get off the Number 8 bus at Sancreed church, you will see a telephone box in front of you with directions to the Holy Well.

Follow the pathway

At this point take the stile to the right

What magnificent views on the way

Keep following the path and you will see standing stones (recumbent) on the right

Then you come to the Sacred Well!  Sancreed Holy Well is also referred to as the Crone’s Well.  So fitting as it is Dark Moon tonight and my connection to the Crone, Morgen Mazoe

What a magical place.  This is the view looking in

And this is the view looking out

And this is inside. You feel as if you are in the womb of Mother Earth. I was given permission to take some water and some moss for vibrational essence and gave black tourmaline as a gift.  There always has to be an energy exchange. It’s respect.

I tested out my dowsing with my rod that Colin kindly gave me at Kingston Russell Stone Circle.  I found the centre line which runs through the well and the ruins of a very old church. Sorry it is at an angle but I slipped on the mud while taking the photo (I should have worn wellies!)

Also on the alignment is this magnificent tree which I felt had dragon energy

I ran out of space when I was dowsing, as the energy went into the next field. So I used my pendulum and it came up as Type 3 Energy line.  If anyone can confirm this for me I would be most appreciative.  Our energy lines seem to be expanding and that is probably due to all the work that we are doing right now.

Back at the bus stop (with Cynthia keeping watch for the Number 8 to Penzance) I was able to take some photos of the church at Sancreed courtesy of the Church Warden, who opened up the church.

Outside were some pre-christian crosses.  They have equal arms. I have just finished reading The Drama of the Lost Disciples which is a book Delores Cannon recommended. It was a book she mentioned in her book Jesus and the Essenes.  Well worth reading and has such a connection with Cornwall.

What a magical place. So if you are ever near Penzance, do take a pilgrimage to this very special place.

Love and hugs
