What fun and laughter my niece Karrie and I had at Sam’s Roskorwell Farm, better known as the Lavender Farm. The Willow Weaving Workshop was run by Vanessa of Penacre Willow. Vanessa is based in Coverack, Cornwall and runs fabulous workshops.

The Workshop was amazing. Karrie and I had never done this sort of thing before (willow weaving) and Vanessa was so patient, especially with me! I just wish my fingers were more nimble. That’s age for you!
Here are some photos that Sam took of Karrie and I weaving in the magic into our willow plant supports. It really was quite meditative and therapeutic. Wow big words. Bit like marmalade!
As well as the venue, Sam provided a pot of tea and lemon drizzle and chocolate cake at half time. Very yummy.
But then “Houston we have a problem”. How do you get 2 willow plant supports into an MX5? Roof off, no problem. Except for the ever present threat of rain. But we did it!
