I have just realised that it has been over 2 months since my last blog. This year is flying by and since my last blog I have been to France twice and Madeira.
If you have never been to Madeira then go in May when the flower festival is on. It was an incredible sight to see and the procession through Funchal lasted 2.5 hours. However, I would say the highlight of my visit was a 4×4 Off Road Experience with Green Devil 4×4. We bought our tickets from Jo and Simon at Tickets4U. They were really helpful and located in walking distance, on Avenida do Infante, midway on the main bus route from the Porto Mar hotel (where we stayed) and Funchal.
Eddy, our driver made the day (not that his good looks had anything to do with it!). He had so much local knowledge and is such a skilful driver, which was important as there were many fallen trees on the narrow trackways.
It was an amazing experience and you somehow felt so close to nature, especially the eucalyptus trees with their essential oil.
The views were stunning and of course, we ended with the group photo.
