After visiting Men Scryfa standing stone, I decided to go in search of the Nine Maidens stone circle, which had evaded me on my recent visit to Ding Dong mine. Again, there is no signpost to this sacred site.
After leaving Men Skryfa standing stone, you continue along the Tinners Way track. At the fork in this photo, you go right, keeping the derelict building in your site.

As you continue along this track, the derelict building is on your left.

At the next fork in the track, go right.

At the next fork in what is now a pathway, go left just after the flat stone.

The next photo is looking back at the flat stone and as you can see, there is a granite marker saying Tinners Way.

You then come to another fork in the pathway. Take the left fork, which has a wooden post, marked Tinners Way.

Continuing along this pathway, you will know you are on the right path, if you look behind you, and you see Carn Galver to your left on the horizon.

Continuing along this pathway, you eventually reach the stone circle. You can see from this photo, that the chimney stack of Ding Dong mine is visible in the distance, on the horizon.

I couldn’t get all the stones in one photo, but I counted 12 not 9. I will need to do some research on this.
And as if by magic, an elderly lady appeared from across the moors, followed by a gentleman called Mike, riding Sir Galahad, who is 29 years old! What are the chances of that! Magic!
