Many people I have met this year are really interested in the Standing Stones and Dolmens of Brittany. So I thought I would end 2022 with sharing my photos of my first encounter with a Dolmen (Les Pierres Plates).
This was the last holiday my late husband and I would share, which was at Locmariaquer near Carnac. I had discovered a dolmen not far from our municipal campsite and Den being Den said that if I was going back to draw the glyphs, then I needed to take a torch and carry my mobile phone just in case. So off I went early in the day, got inside the dolmen which had flooded a bit with the recent rain (nothing changes!) Whilst inside, and trying to juggle a torch and trying to draw the maginificent glyphs at the same time, I heard someone at the entrance. It was a french guy and he was equipped with really expensive cameras. We came to an agreement that I would hold my torch and he would take photos, so no need for me to try to do drawings. He promised to email me the photos and you know what, he did! Now isnt that synchronicity again. So here below are some magnificent photos courtesy of the french guy.
If anyone can enlighten me as to what our ancestors were trying to tell us, I would be very appreciative. Someone told me that the glyph that looks like a tree fern represented the phases of the moon? I hope to spend more time in Brittany exploring all the standing stones and also on my bucket list is a journey to the Cathedral at Le Mans.
Some things to look forward to in 2023.
In the meantime thank you for all the healing you have sent me and New Year blessings to you all.
